Ancient Egyptian capitals have a contemporary look

These two beautiful Egyptian capitals hand-carved in wood come from designs that date from around 300 BC. The first is from the Temple of Philae and the second is from the Temple at Isna. What goes around comes around—we think these have a contemporary or almost Art Deco look. For a client, they present a wonderful opportunity to do something that’s not Corinthian and that can be placed in a more modern setting.
