For thousands of years, bronze has been prized for its strength, endurance, and beauty. Ancient artisans used bronze to create vessels, coins, tools, and decorative items. A mixture of copper and zinc, bronze expands slightly before it sets, making it ideal for filling in the finest details of a mold.
If your project requires a number of complex carved elements, such as capitals or floral swags, casting them in bronze could cost less than carving each one individually in wood.
Our masters are hand-carved in wood rather than modeled in clay, a process that produces ornaments that are crisp and imbued with all the intricate facets of woodcarving. We also cast in real bronze, not resin impregnated with bronze powder. This is an important consideration as bronze is a highly respected medium and it therefore retains its value, both aesthetically and financially, in a way plastic products don’t.
Working with carved masters and materials of exceptional quality results in ornamentation that is every bit as detailed as if it were carved in wood. Available in a variety of patinas, our cast bronze ornaments can be created specifically for your project so they blend seamlessly with our woodcarving.
